In collaboration with the Royal Swedish Academy of Agriculture and Forestry (KSLA) the Swedish FAO Committee invites to a special event marking 75 years of dedicated work for global food security and sustainable development.
Since its founding in 1950 – the same year Sweden joined the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) – the Swedish FAO Committee has advised the Government on advancing food security for all, while supporting biodiversity and sustainable practices in agriculture, forestry, and fisheries.
We will gather to honor this important milestone, reflect on the Committee’s achievements, and look forward to the future of sustainable food systems and international cooperation. The event will also feature the launch of the Committee’s new publication titled Innovation and Drivers for Circularity and Bioeconomy.
