With an expected world population of 9 billion people in 2050, the global need for Food, Feed, Fibre and Fuel has become a matter of high political concern. In order to satisfy the ever increasing needs of “the four Fs”, there will be a progressively severe competition for limited land and water resources. The international Global Outlook Symposium held in Stockholm 29–30 January 2013 aimed to highlight this from four different perspectives:
1. Agricultural policies over the past 40 years – three cases;
2. Opportunities and challenges for farmers, researchers and business in the agricultural sector;
3. Opportunities and challenges in the forestry sector; and
4. From knowing to acting – paths to a sustainable future.

Från år 2003 till och med år 2018 finns dokumentation om varje högtidssammankomsts tema och middagsmeny, inklusive hedersledamoten Christina Möllers presentation av måltiden. Här är den dokumentationen i samlad form.
Nitton organisationer utarbetade under 2004 med Kungl. Skogs- och Lantbruksakademien(KSLA) som plattform ett gemensamt dokument med visioner för inriktning av och innehåll i den framtida forskningen och innovationsverksamheten inom den gröna sektorn. Dokumentet utgick från den gröna sektorns omfattande betydelse för landets välstånd nu och i framtiden, den gröna sektorns förmåga att förbättra välstånd och samtidigt utveckla ekonomisk, ekologisk och social hållbarhet samt nuvarande FoU-verksamhetens status inom den gröna sektorn.
Reformeringen och tillämpningen av EUs nya jordbrukspolitik innebär starkt förändrade villkor för jordbruket. De senaste resultaten från WTO-förhandlingarna bidrar ytterligare till att förstärka den bilden.
