Expectations that the United States, with Joe Biden as president, will return to a more traditional role in the international community are high. On February 19, the United States rejoined the Paris Agreement on Climate Change but the harsh tone in the contacts between the USA and China seems to persist. So, what changes can we expect during this presidential term? What roles will the United States play geopolitically and as an economic engine in the world? And, what consequences does this have for agriculture and forestry as well as for work in the environmental field?
KSLA has, through its International committee, invited KSLA international fellows in the U.S. to give their view of the development. This will be commented by a panel of Swedish observers who, among other things, will address the development of the United States in the light of Swedish conditions, as well as the European Union’s.
